Pride Month: Rainbow Makeup
Happy Pride Month! It’s time to show some Pride and let your true flag fly.
This is a safe and inclusive place for everyone, makeup and nail art can truly be for anyone.
But whilst its fun to get in the spirit and wear a rainbow its important to remember to not let rainbow-washed brands confuse you into consumerism (when they don’t really support charities doing important work) and remember why Pride started and how we as a planet, and a species have so far to go still!
What is Pride Month?
For more than the last 50 years Pride Month, June, has been a month to celebrate the LGBTQ+ communities around the world.
The rainbow has become a symbol, an icon, a flag to represent the LGBTQ+ community. Each community within that also has its own flag too. There are six colours in this rainbow-red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet-skipping Indigo. The modern Progress Pride flag also includes black/brown, white/blue/pink and yellow/purple circle.

Rainbow Makeup Ideas
These rainbow looks were created in a variety of ways using Beauty Bay’s pastel and vibrant eyeshadow palettes and Glisten Cosmetics water-activated liners. From subtle to out there, there are so many ways to show your Pride month colours.
Rainbow Nail Art
Don’t forget your nails too! Rainbows and LGBT flags give so much inspiration for nail art. So you can wear your feelings on your fingers.
Lots of brands such as Hollie Mixtures often come out with charity polishes around this time of year to support LGBT charities.
Holo Taco also have a great selection of rainbow collection polishes so you can get the full set.
If you create some Pride month looks be sure to share with me on Instagram. I’d love to see them!
