Skincare for dry skin

Let’s take it back to basics with some great skincare. The best makeup looks are always when applied on good healthy skin!

Table of Contents

    Face Washes and Scrubs

For dry skin chemical scrubs are often better, more effective and still gentler on dry skin which is prone to damage.

Once a week or so I like to use No7 Energising Face Scrub which energises the skin without being overly harsh! It’s officially a “male” product but there is no reason a female can’t use it too!

    Toner

Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant Glycolic Toner is perfect for dry skin. Read more about my experience with it here.

Beauty Bay Acid Trip Exfoliating Toner. This exfoliating toner is perfect for bad skin days. No need to over use as it is fairly strong but perfect for targeting areas or infrequent all over toning. I really love this product!

    Serums and Moisturisers

Anything from the Superdrug Vitamin C range and I’m sold. My favourite tries so far have been the moisture gel and the serum. They leave you and your skin feeling awake and refreshed and smell delicious too!

Although officially a setting spray Barry M’s Rose Serum Mist claims to keep skin plump. It certainly feels lovely spritzed on the skin throughout the day! Find out more about Barry M’s Sprays here.

    Skincare Products Especially for Eyes

Revolution Cooling Eye Gel. This eye gel is a favourite of mine! Perfect for under eyes but so hydrating it’s great for dry skin anywhere. I love the cooling feeling on my stressed skin on forehead particularly!

    Face Masks

Face masks are great as a once in a while (maybe once or twice a week) treatment. Be sure to read each mask’s packaging and don’t over use!

Superdrug’s Vitamin C Face Mask is my favourite for energised skin!

Sheet masks can also be a great way to add moisture to the skin. Look out for ones made with simple and eco friendly ingredients in mild scents like rose.

    Skincare Accessories

    Beauty Bay Cleansing Pads
A pack of 3 pads with a cleaning bag. These pads are perfect for makeup removal, simply wet, squeeze out and wipe face then rinse and pop in the washing machine in the baggy! These are a perfect travel packing hack-no need for face wash products. Especially if you pack some hand washing liquid to keep them clean!

Resuable cotton buds. A pack of silicone reusable cotton buds is a great skincare accessory and much better for the environment.

A headband or clips are also useful to hold back your hair and keep it out of the product!
