Angelica Rugrats Makeup
Character makeup and look I recently explored an Angelica inspired character look and makeup. Angelica is a character everyone loves to hate from the 90’s TV show The Rugrats. Halloween is the perfect opportunity to explore some character looks and makeup. Why I created the look “Sometimes I wish I could be you, just so I could be friends with me!“ For Colormehalloween we were given the theme to create a look inspired by a non-Disney TV show. I immediately thought of one of the few Nickelodeon shows I know-The Rugrats. Angelica for the Rugrats has all sorts of confidence going on which is definitely not a personality trait she…

Skincare for dry skin Let’s take it back to basics with some great skincare. The best makeup looks are always when applied on good healthy skin! If you want to find out more about my skincare routine be sure to check it out here! Face Washes and Scrubs For dry skin chemical scrubs are often better, more effective and still gentler on dry skin which is prone to damage. Once a week or so I like to use No7 Energising Face Scrub which energises the skin without being overly harsh! It’s officially a “male” product but there is no reason a female can’t use it too! If not be sure to let me know in the comments so I can create some nail art based on it! Fruit is the fruiting body of a plant but in general vernacular tends to lean towards the sweeter. Many arguments can be had over what counts as fruit-tomatos and cucumber anyone?-and what doesn’t-sorry strawberries but I’m looking at you. Fruit Nail Art Pineapple Pineapple is the king of tropical fruit, it literally wears a crown. This makes it the perfect base for summer…

Ariel, The Little Mermaid, meets the 1950’s
Character makeup looks Ariel meets the 1950’s in this weeks look. This look was inspired by an Instagram challenge called #colormehalloween. One of the themes was Disney Decades. Therefore I created a look for Ariel, from the Little Mermaid, with a 1950’s twist. The Look The look started with this skirt from the vintage style brand Lindy Bop featuring mermaids in a ‘pin up’ style. I then paired this with a purple bow top to compliment Ariel’s outfit in the Disney film (green tail, purple shell bra!). I added a cute 50’s feel cardigan along with fishnet tights (do you get it?!) and DIY glittery low heels. As well as…

She received her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018 and she is seen as fashion icon in her own right-after all Minnie ‘rocks the dots‘ So to pay homage to my favourite mouse I created this Minnie mouse inspired look. Rainbow tears makeup
Crying a rainbow of tears. “After the rain, the sun will reappear. There is life. After the pain, the joy will still be here.” Walt Disney Lacking inspiration I haven’t been feeling my best recently which has left my creativity lacking so this week I tried just having a play with make-up rather than set ideas. So I came up with these rainbow tears because even in sadness there is joy. Makeup look created with Revolution’s large eye shadow palette picked up with a wet brush so the neon colours would run. ”It’s coming down on me Teardrops on my face Water like misery Let it wash away my sins…
