Summer and fruit go together, so summer is the perfect time for some fruit nail art!

Fruit is the fruiting body of a plant but in general vernacular tends to lean towards the sweeter. Many arguments can be had over what counts as fruit-tomatos and cucumber anyone?-and what doesn’t-sorry strawberries but I’m looking at you.

Fruit Nail Art

Pineapple

Pineapple is the king of tropical fruit, it literally wears a crown. This makes it the perfect base for summer nail art.

A pineapple on every nail or just the one this fruit is best represented by its criss-cross design. Here done in an ocre over yellow. Dont forget the green to represent the top!

Lemon

Go citrusey with lemons.

Holo Taco’s Lemon Sucker is perfect for lemon theme nail art. Here I paired it with white and green tips. The ring finger features white acrylic paint painted thinly to create the lemon segments.

Avocado Fruit Nail Art

Yes avocado is a fruit in my eyes!

These Avocado nails inspired by fellow instagram nail artist fearlesspolish are perhaps one of my favourite nails I have ever created. The base coat is Barry M Pink Lemonade and the Avocados were created with Acrylic paint. 

Strawberry

First I went for pink strawberry fruit nail art.

I used Barry M Raspberry Scented Candy Culture as the base, then with a dotting tool applied Holo Taco Red Licorice as the seeds and Green taffy as the leaves!⁠ The Barry M polish is Raspberry scented so perfect for this mani! And the Holo Taco ‘s are just beautiful of course!⁠

I then switched the pink and the red for a different look. I also tried the green at the cuticle instead of the tip. Which combo do you prefer?

Orange

Another summer citrus is Orange. Perfect for summer fruit nail art.

Orange is not a colour I particularly like so I only really have the orange from Holo Tacos Rainbow Collection. Therefore I’ve kept my design simple to let Orange Drink shine!⁠ I’m not a fan of orange-food or colour-but this shade is winning me round.

I used a nail art pen for the segments to keep it precise. This I then filled in with Avon_Uk Nail Wear Pro+ Lemon Sugar. I used a dotting tool to apply this as dots and the flesh of the Orange 

Watermelon-The Ultimate Fruit Nail Art

Watermelons have to be the classic go to fruit for nail art. Whether you go for all over watermelon details or just watermelon slices on your tips. Green, pink and black are essential for this.

Pumpkins
