Rainbow tears makeup
Crying a rainbow of tears.
“After the rain, the sun will reappear. There is life. After the pain, the joy will still be here.” Walt Disney
Lacking inspiration
I haven’t been feeling my best recently which has left my creativity lacking so this week I tried just having a play with make-up rather than set ideas. So I came up with these rainbow tears because even in sadness there is joy. Makeup look created with Revolution’s large eye shadow palette picked up with a wet brush so the neon colours would run.
”It’s coming down on me
Teardrops on my face
Water like misery
Let it wash away my sins
It’s coming down on me… at least I’m alive.
Rain on me.”
Lady Gaga
What do you do when you are feeling low on inspiration creatively?
Sometimes I find it helpful to turn to others such as the makeup artists on ‘Glow Up: Britains Next Makeup Star‘ either be rewatching episodes and thinking about what I would do if set with those challenges or by following their accounts with recent work on Instagram.
Running with an idea
Once I’ve just tried something I often have more ideas which flow from it.
Like this tear design lead me to a think about a more controlled line work makeup using similar colours
Inspired by both this makeup and the Stitch t-shirt. I used a thin, wet brush with the eyeshadows to create a line work inspired design with colours that complimented the t-shirt (and the jewels!).
